Twin lakes is our closest lake and it is only 5 minutes west of our cabins. It has clear water and beautiful trails to walk. 

  • West Twin Lake: Reaches a maximum depth of 35 meters (115 feet) with an oval basin and steep southern shores.
  • East Twin Lake: Separated by less than 700 meters from West Twin, this body of water is extremely shallow.
  • Boating Rules: No motorized gas boats are allowed; only non-motorized watercraft (like canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards) or electric motors are permitted.
  • Fishing: West Twin Lake is a popular spot stocked with rainbow trout.
  • Scuba Diving: West Twin Lake's deep and clear profile makes it a regional destination for scuba diving.

    Pigeon Lake

    The biggest lake in our area. 

    The lake has a total area of 96.7 km2 (37.3 sq mi) and a maximum depth of 9.1 m (30 ft). It has a catchment area of 187 km2 (72 sq mi),[1] and is an early tributary of the Battle River, to which it is connected through the Pigeon Lake Creek. Pigeon Lake was previously called "Woodpecker Lake". The name was changed to Pigeon Lake in 1858. 

    Ma-Me-O (omîmîw) is a Cree word meaning "pigeon".
